Action PMU – Division C

English ⬇️ – Le Challenge printanier fut le théâtre d’une victoire plutôt émotionnelle dans la Division C Storm Products International. L’équipe Action PMU aurait eu toutes les raisons du monde de baisser les bras, mais ce fut tout le contraire. Après une performance en qualification les relayant au départ du dimanche matin, ils prirent le temps de s’ouvrir l’un à l’autre le samedi et ils profitèrent de la journée de repos pour souder leurs liens avec une activité de jeu d’évasion. Le dimanche venu, ils combattirent jusqu’à la toute dernière boule pour accéder à la finale et ils en firent tout autant pour gagner. Comme quoi, dans la vie, avec un bon mental et un désir fort, tout peut arriver. Bourse : 2400$. Fierté : 1 000 000$.

Bravo à Brandon Breton, Jean-Michel Laliberté, Rémi Duponchel et Serge Rioux.

Le trophée, fait d’un composé de ciment unique à la région du Saguenay, fut offert par Pierre Blackburn (quilleur du Dallo). C’est une grosse boule de quilles et… ça prend des muscles pour la soulever! 😂

The Challenge printanier was the scene of a rather emotional victory in the Division C presented by Storm Products International. Team Action PMU would have had every reason to give up, but it was quite the opposite. After a qualifying performance that had them bowl the Sunday morning shift, they took the time to open up to each other on Saturday and they used the rest day to strengthen their bonds with an escape room activity. When Sunday arrived, they fought until the very last ball to reach the final and did the same to win. This goes to show that in life, with a strong mindset and desire, anything can happen. Prize money: $2,400. Pride: $1,000,000.

Congratulations to Brandon Breton, Jean-Michel Laliberté, Rémi Duponchel and Serge Rioux.

The trophy, made from a cement composite unique to the Saguenay region, was offered by Pierre Blackburn (a bowler from La Coopérative Le Dallo). It’s a big bowling ball and… it takes muscles to lift it! 😂

Canada Autos Sélection #1 – Division B

English ⬇️ – À sa troisième année d’existence, l’équipe Canada Autos Sélection #1 a réussi à triompher au Challenge printanier. Ils mirent la main sur une bourse de 3200$. Guillaume Nadeau, Alexandre Duchesne, Anthony Carrier et Andréanne Blouin posent fièrement avec le nouveau trophée de la Division B. Cette quille, fait d’un composé de ciment unique à la région du Saguenay, a été offert par Pierre Blackburn, un quilleur du Dallo.

Sur une note plus personnelle, faisant partie de cette équipe, je désire remercier sincèrement mes coéquipiers. Nous avons été unis, soudés, du premier lancer jusqu’au dernier. Nous sommes choyés de pouvoir compter l’un sur l’autre. Nous avons de quoi être fiers de notre parcours. C’est un honneur d’être à vos côtés. Merci!

In its third year of existence, Team Canada Autos Selection #1 managed to win at the Challenge printanier. They got their hands on a prize of $3,200. Guillaume Nadeau, Alexandre Duchesne, Anthony Carrier and Andréanne Blouin proudly pose with the new trophy of Division B. On a more personal note, being part of this team, I sincerely want to thank my teammates. We have been united, close-knit from the first throw to the last. Buffa Distribution – Division A

English ⬇️ – La quatrième édition du Challenge printanier s’est conclue avec la victoire de Buffa Distribution. Cette équipe était composée de Patrick Girard, Marc-André Gagné, Jonathan Simoneau et Henrik Tremblay. Ils reçurent une bourse de 5000$ des mains de Warren Paquet (Services financiers), le présentateur de la Division A. De plus, pour la première fois en direct, le trophée en merisier a pu être soulevé.

Cette magnifique oeuvre d’art est la réalisation d’Alexandre Fortin. Il investit corps et âme à la conception de cet emblème. Je ne pourrai jamais le remercier à la hauteur de son travail.

Dans cette équipe, notons les deux parties parfaites de Patrick Girard (2e ronde et finale).

The fourth edition of the Challenge printanier concluded with the win of Buffa Distribution. This team was composed of Patrick Girard, Marc-André Gagné, Jonathan Simoneau and Henrik Tremblay. They received $5,000 from the hands of Warren Paquet (Financial Services), the presenter of Division A. In addition, for the first time live, the trophy made of cherrywood could be lifted by the winners.

This magnificent work of art is the creation of Alexandre Fortin. He invested his heart and soul into the design of this emblem. I could never thank him enough for his work.

Let’s not forget to two perfect games rolled by Patrick Girard (2nd round and finals).

Those who know me know my unwavering attachment to the Storm bowling balls. It all started in 2001 when I shot an 879-series with the Eraser PBT. Then, little by little, I managed to secure a spot on their staff… that was in August 2011. So, I am very happy, and you are very fortunate to count on Storm Bowling to help raising money for the Challenge printanier and to offer amazing prizes to our teams through the four raffles that took place throughout the season.

English ⬇️ – Le Challenge printanier débuta le 18 avril dernier avec la présentation de la ronde régionale aux allures inter-régionales avec une équipe de Baie-Comeau et une autre de Chibougamau. Et, comme la tradition le veut, voici notre photo de famille 2026!

Le vendredi 24 avril, nous accueillerons les 60 autres équipes provenant des quatre coin du Québec, du Nouveau-Brunswick, de l’Ontario, de l’Alberta et de l’étant de New-York. Venez assister au plus grand tournoi au pays avec ces 320 joueurs uniques. Nous vous attendons en grand nombre.

The Challenge printanier is officially started. It began on April 18 with the presentation of the regional shift, which had an inter-regional feel, featuring a team from Baie-Comeau and another from Chibougamau. And, as tradition dictates, here is our 2026 family photo!

On Friday, April 24, we will welcome the 60 other teams from all over Quebec, New Brunswick, Ontario, Alberta and the state of New York. Come watch the largest tournament in the country with these 320 unique bowlers. We look forward to seeing you!

Rappel : À payer sur place

English ⬇️ – Avant le début de chaque départ, il est important que le capitaine se présente à la table des inscriptions pour les trucs suivants :

  • Pots individuels à 10$ par joueur : Le plus haut simple à chacune des cinq parties de chaque départ gagne le pot.
  • Partie mystère à 40$ par équipe : À la fin de la première partie, une partie au hasard est tirée par Lexer. Cette partie se situe entre le plus bas pointage et le plus haut pointage. Si cette partie a été réussie par un joueur, son équipe gagne la partie mystère. Si cette partie n’a pas été réussie, le tirage est reporté à la partie 2 et ainsi de suite jusqu’à la fin de la partie 5. Si les 20 équipes du départ s’incrivent à la partie mystère, celle-ci vaut 800$ (200$ par joueur).
  • Portion individuelle à 25$ par joueur (à payer une seule fois avant votre premier départ seulement) : Les joueurs des Division A & B seront regroupés ensemble ; les joueurs des Division C & D seront regroupés ensemble. Les bourses (1 sur 4) seront remises au cumul des dix parties de qualification. Aucune finale.

Seul l’argent comptant est accepté. Merci de votre compréhension.

À la ronde finale le dimanche après-midi, seule la partie mystère en équipe sera offerte.

Before the start of each shift, it is important that the captain goes to the registration table for the following:

  • Individual Pot Games at $10 per player: The bowler who rolls the highest score each game of each shift wins the pot.
  • Mystery Pot Game at $40 per team: At the end of each game, a score is drawn at random by Lexer. This score is situated between the lowest and highest games. If this score has been rolled by a bowler, his team wins the Mystery Pot Game. If this score has not been rolled by a bowler, the draw is postponed to the end of the second game and so on until the last game. If all 20 teams of each shift enter the Mystery Pot Game, it is worth $800 ($200 per bowler).
  • Individual tournament at $25 per player (to be paid once before your first shift): The bowlers from Division A & B will be grouped; the bowlers from Division C & D will be grouped. The prize funds (one out of four) will be awarded at the end of the 10-game qualification. No finals.

Only cash will be accepted. Thanks for understanding.

The Mystery Pot Game will be offered during the finals on Sunday afternoon.

English ⬇️ – Vous étiez tellement impatients de connaître le patron du tournoi de cette année. Le voici! L’objectif est d’avoir une bibliothèque de trois patrons et de faire une rotation entre eux chaque année. De la sorte, nous pensons que tous les participants seront servis.

You were soooooo impatient to know the pattern of this year’s tournament Here is it! The goal of having a different pattern this year is to have a library of three patterns and to rotate among them each year. This way, we think there is a pattern for everyone.

Alignement partant & Nom d’équipe & Senior

English ⬇️ – Avis aux capitaines : Si ce n’est pas déjà fait, je vous demande de m’envoyer ces trois informations par courriel à l’adresse habituelle, svp :

1) votre alignement partant pour votre premier départ (Ronde 1) ;

2) le nom de votre équipe ;

3) le nom des joueurs âgés de 50 ans et plus.

Au sujet de l’alignement partant : Prenez note qu’il sera interdit de demander un changement d’alignement tout juste avant votre Ronde 1 lorsque vous serez sur place à la Coopérative Le Dallo.

Vous avez jusqu’au 17 avril à 23h59 pour m’envoyer ces informations. Après cette date, si vous n’avez pas répondu, le nom de votre équipe et l’alignement seront ceux enregistrés dans Lexer. Au besoin, il sera toutefois possible de modifier votre alignement pour votre deuxième départ (Ronde 2).

Regarding the starting lineup: Please note that it will be forbidden to request a lineup change just before your first shift (Squad 1) when you are on site at Coopérative Le Dallo.

You have until April 17th at 11:59pm to send me this information. After this date, if you have not responded, your team name and the starting lineup will be those recorded in Lexer. If needed, it will still be possible to modify your lineup for your second shift (Squad 2).

  • Coût d’inscription : 25$ par joueur (argent comptant seulement – aucun virement Interac n’est accepté)
  • Quand s’inscrire : Pour les 20 équipes régionales, l’inscription se fera le 18 avril avant leur premier départ. Pour les 60 équipes de l’extérieur, l’inscription se fera le 24 avril avant leur premier départ respectif. Le capitaine est mandaté pour payer l’inscription de ses coéquipiers AVANT le début de leur premier départ à la table à cet effet auprès des bénévoles. À cette table, les capitaines pourront également payer les pots individuels (10$ par joueur) et la partie mystère (40$ par équipe).
  • Formule : Il y aura deux classements : joueurs des Divisions A & B ; joueurs des Divisions C & D. Le total de quilles abattues au terme des dix parties de qualification déterminera la position de chaque joueur dans leur classement respectif. Aucune finale.
  • Bourses : Un joueur sur quatre par classement. 100% des inscriptions dans les bourses.

There will an individual event alongside the 2026 Challenge printanier. Here is what you need to you:

  • Entry fees: $25 per player (cash only – e-transfers will not be accepted)
  • When to register: The 20 regional teams will have to register on April 18th just before the start of their first shift. The 60 other teams will have to register on April 24th before the start of their respective shift. Captains are responsible for registering and paying the entry fees of their teammates BEFORE the start of their first shift at the registration table to the volunteers. Captains will also be responsible for paying the individual pot games ($10 per player) and the mystery game ($40 per team).
  • Format: There will be two standings: players from Division A & B; players from Division C & D. The total pinfall of the 10-game qualification will determine the ranking of each player within their own standing. No finals.
  • Prize funds: One out of four per standing. 100% of the entry fees back into the prize funds.
