English below – Le Challenge printanier eut l’immense plaisir d’accueillir Xavier Levistre de la France. Xavier est le programmeur du logiciel de gestion des ligues et des tournois Lexer. En janvier dernier, alors qu’il était en manque du Québec, il m’a demandé quel serait le meilleur moment pour venir faire une petite saucette chez nous. Je lui ai proposé la longue fin de semaine du Challenge printanier. Peu de temps après, ses billets d’avion étaient réservés!

Bien qu’inconnu de la majorité, sa présence fit le bonheur de certains quilleurs le connaissant depuis longtemps. Il faut dire que Xavier prenait part à l’Expo Quilles Buffa chaque année lorsque l’événement avait lieu à Boucherville.

Si vous vous souvenez bien, en 2025, j’ai utilisé le logiciel EZ Show pour diffuser les résultats en direct sur plusieurs écrans. Cette année, j’ai renouvelé l’expérience, mais en utilisant l’application EZ Show sur des appareils Google TV et Fire TV plutôt que des ordinateurs. Xavier m’a donné un fort coup de main pour tout préparer alors que nous étions à la maison.

Étant au Québec, il a écouté les suggestions de personnes utilisant Lexer et il a travaillé à améliorer certaines options. C’est à suivre.

J’ai fait promettre à Xavier de m’envoyer une photo de lui portant le hoodie du Challenge printanier dans chaque pays qu’il visitera pour le travail. Le Challenge printanier parcourra l’Europe bientôt.

The Challenge printanier had a very special guest this year: Xavier Levistre from France. Xavier is the brain behind Lexer, the league and tournament software. Last January, when he was missing Quebec, he asked me when would be the best time to visit us. I suggested the long weekend of the Challenge printanier. Soon after, his plane tickets were booked!

Although unknown to the majority, his presence delighted some bowlers who had known him for a long time. It must be said that Xavier took part in Buffa Bowl Expo every year when the event took place in Boucherville.

If you remember well, I used the EZ Show software to stream live results to multiple screens in 2025. This year, I did that too, but I used the EZ Show app on Google TV and Fire TV devices rather than computers. Xavier gave me a hand to get everything set up when we were home.

Being in Quebec, he listened to the suggestions of Lexer users and worked to improve some options.

I made Xavier promise to send me a picture of him wearing the Challenge printanier hoodie in every country he will visit for work. The Challenge printanier will be seen all around Europe soon.

En 2023, Nicolas Boucher atteignit la perfection et se mérita le prix Sandvik. L’an dernier, Jeremy Bonville réussit l’impossible à la toute dernière partie de la ronde finale. Cette année, est-ce qu’un quilleur osera jouer 300?

Si un quilleur souhaite mettre la main sur les 1000$ remis par Sandvik, il devra aligner les 12 abats lors des deux rondes de qualification, car la ronde finale n’est pas admise pour ce prix. Si aucune partie parfaite n’est réussie, le prix de 1000$ sera repoussé à 2026.

To pull off a perfect game in the Challenge printanier is an extraordinary feat. The task is never simple. In 2023, Nicolas Boucher achieved perfection and won the Sandvik award. It was important for me to have the support of Storm Products Inc., as I have represented the company for almost 14 years. Their Director of Tournaments, Events and Charitable Giving responded quickly to my call. Thus, four ball draws were launched in February and March, which raised $4000.
